OrganoService GI Toxicity
Gastrointestinal Toxicity Predictions: Delivered as a standardized service
OrganoService GI Toxicity is MIMETAS’ standardized contract research offering for teams that want predictive and actionable GI safety data while keeping your time and resources for other projects. You ship your compounds, we run the study using the validated OrganoReady® Colon Organoid platform and deliver a structured report.

Specifications
Our experienced team runs the study so you can de-risk GI liabilities earlier, with confidence.

Output: Structured results report; full dataset; your data and IP remain exclusively yours
Turnaround: ~5 weeks from compound receival to data delivery
5-day exposure
Re-dosing on day 2
Apical and/or basolateral exposure
Barrier integrity measurements on Day 2 and Day 5
Viability assessment on Day 5
Study Design
A structured results report is delivered within 1 week from the assay completion
Applications
OrganoService GI Toxicity is designed for teams who prioritize speed, efficiency, and value expert support to run organ-on-a-chip studies.
Rapid execution of your GI safety screening for compound ranking and prioritization
Expert advice on mechanistic insights when liabilities are suspected (barrier integrity and cell-type-specific effects vs cytotoxicity)
Decision support before IND-enabling studies or clinical entry
Platform Validation
Tested on a drug library with known clinical GI toxicity profiles, the OrganoReady® Colon Organoid was significantly more sensitive compared to standard Caco-2 Transwells in detecting GI-toxic compounds, at the same specificity.
Readouts
GI toxicity is rarely a single endpoint. To capture mechanistic signals, OrganoService GI Toxicity supports multiplexed functional assays on the same tissue.

Transepithelial electrical resistance (TEER) provides a quantitative readout of epithelial barrier function and can be used to test dose-dependent toxicities.

Cell viability (multiplexed with TEER) to differentiate direct barrier effects from general cell damage
