OrganoReady® BBB HBMEC

OrganoReady® BBB HBMEC is a ready-to-use primary human brain endothelial model that forms perfusable, leak-tight tubules. These tubules provide apical and basolateral access without membrane interference, supporting direct compound exposure and physiologically relevant barrier function. The model is well-suited for therapeutic screening, including toxicity prediction and brain inflammation studies.

Each OrganoReady® BBB HBMEC plate comes pre-seeded with 40 or 64 ready-to-use HBMEC tubules grown against validated Collagen-I with stable barriers.

Applications

The OrganoReady BBB HBMEC model provides a physiologically relevant brain microvascular tissue model, suitable for studying key features of BBB function and dynamics. All applications benefit from our OrganoTEER system for barrier function measurement.

Validation

The OrganoReady® BBB HBMEC model demonstrates characteristics of functional and physiologically relevant brain endothelium. The model forms tight and adherent junctions and exhibits active transporter expression, supporting its application in blood–brain barrier research and compound screening.
